I went by the local GC the other day for an amp stand and strings and I saw this guy up on the wall on clearance for a great price. I played if for a bit and really loved it but went home as planned with my accessories. But I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I popped by on my way home and played it one more time and had to bring her home.

Have the same one. Loving it. Great Bass. I think its one of their better models.

Great pickup, congrats! A nice thing about that bass is that there isn’t any routing under the pickguard, so you can rock it sans-pg if you want a different look:

I actually love the blending of old-school and current-design for this series. Nitro finish, 10-hole pg, copper ground strip, custom 60’s pups, tall-narrow frets, 9.5” radius fretboard, no chrome covers. I personally think it’s a great series, even though it replaced the AVRI basses. Enjoy!

I bought the same bass in burst - then put it through a relic phase. Removed the copper ground strip and ran a wire to the bridge for the ground. All the hardware was done with a mix (I can't remember what is was) to get the relic look. The paint chipping was done over a few months. Also swapped out the pick-ups with Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Jazz pick-ups. Sounds and looks fantastic.

How do you like the fender flats with the duncans?

Very nice. I was deciding between this and the US Geddy Lee but since I already own the MIM GL decided to get the AO 60s jazz in Olympic white. Shouldn't really have done it but couldn't resist. Sometimes to satisfy GAS have to get the guitar you really want. Intend to sell off a Player Precision to fund it.
