NBD: '95 Music Man Sterling in Translucent Red

Just got this '95 EBMM Sterling in immaculate condition and I am loving it! The neck just feels incredible to me and I love the 3-position pickup switch (especially the series position, so far....). What a tone machine! I gotta admit, it was the translucent red color that attracted me to this bass, as I didn't bond with the Stingray Classic I had and sold previosuly. Once I read the specs on the Sterling I figured I'd give it a shot as the smaller body size, neck specs, and pickup switch intrigued me. Glad I did. This one won't be leaving my arsenal.

Very nice early Sterling! I have two '95s and they've been great. My fretless is also the trans red on alder - similar neck grain too. Fine wood supply at EBMM back then.

Congrats! I'm a big EBMM fan but have not yet had the pleasure of owning a Sterling but I hope to do so at some point. The same can be said for one of the Sansamp geddy pedals (though I might go for the rackmount version).

Oh how many times I have (erroneously) said this lol! But seriously, that thing is killer. That is my favorite color/neck combo on the Sterling and I have almost pulled the trigger on one many times.

I have a ‘95 that will never, ever leave my hands. Great woods, construction - and I really think that larger bridge makes a difference. Enjoy!

Very nice!! I have is younger sibling, a ‘97 Stingray in the same finish. Some of the more beautiful necks on standard run EBMMs. I’m not a big fan of red, but this ones so nice I bought it back after trading it away.

I always liked the look of the Sterling MUCH more than the stingray.

After seeing this, the Stingray is just so.."chubby" looking.
(No Offense to chubby lookin Stingray owners).
