This one caught my eye and now it's in my house. At this or any price point, these basses have some of the sweetest playing/feeling necks I've ever played! Actually has me thinking of getting rid of some basses I don't play for that very reason; they're okay, but they aren't the ones I instinctively grab when I feel like grooving...this is my second Sire.

Please post a review of this bass, if you don't mind. I've been intrigued by single-coil p basses, but I haven't wanted to spend too much money to try one out. I feel like this might be an affordable way for me to give one a go. Curious to hear your thoughts.

Congrats! I've always been a big fan of Sire.
Some folks are put off by the Sire headstock, it never bothered me but man I REALLY like the slim version of it on that bass!

Gorgeous instrument. I have been eyeballing Sire for a minute now, but can't get my paws on one to see if I like how it hangs and plays. The "edgeless" neck idea sounds particularly interesting to me. BTW, what is the nut width and spacing on these? I couldn't find such specs on the website.

That’s cool I didn’t know they did early P style basses either. Is the headstock longer than normal? Or just appear that way because of the photo angle? Thinner top to bottom is cool as well (buzzard like).

To me it looks like the headstock is narrower, like the Telecaster style headstock on early Fender Precisions.

Lovely wood on that neck and headstock too. Congrats @Vitrius Humor, that's a really spiffy new axe!

Cool bass! I keep hearing such good things about their necks so I'll have to make an effort to get my mitts wrapped around one one of these days.

Odd question: is there something weird going on with the G tuner? Is it a reflection of the D tuner I'm seeing?

I saw one of those for sale locally for $375 (but I can probably get it for less). I'm considering buying it because the price is fair, but I really don't need more than the basses I have right now.
