That is a beautiful bass. Fretless is soooooo comfortable to play you don't want to put it down. I just got an Ibanez SRF705 Portamento 5 string fretless and love it. Good luck with your new pride and joy.

Really Nice! I totally endorse matched fretted and fretless basses, and have admired (but never played) the Essence basses for years. How is balance on a strap, sitting and standing, with those bad boys?

On a strap, they both balance perfectly! Seated, the fretless balances a bit better. I think that added amount of wood behind the bridge helps a lot. The 1 lb sustain blocks under the bridges help prevent neck dive too. They are both a pleasure to play!
