Question: when you say the monorail isn't aligned, what do you mean? They usually are slightly "staggered" to help with string scale and intonation. I've seen that on other Maruszczyk basses. They're never "level" with each other.

That was my first thought as well. However, there is no pattern or logic to it, they are just not aligned. But, as I said, we are talking fractions of an inch here, nothing that affects intonation or even looks.

Well, just have a go at the configurator I actually chose that white because of the contrast, I didn't want the bass to look too dark.

I have a Mensinger Joker B 5 string, 34" scale, also from Adrian and the gang. It is my current #1. This one was about the price of a USA Fender, maybe just a bit more. Absolutely great stuff!

I concur with everything the Author has mentioned about working with Adrian and Public-Peace. This rendered image of my Jake C reflects the real instrument I received about a year ago. That roasted maple neck is something else!

I purchased this Elwood a few months ago used and liked it so well I sold my EB Sting Ray 5 that I never thought I would part with. It has German made pickups and preamp and sounds great. I got it with a Gator hard shell case for quite a bit less than if I had ordered one. These are definitely well made bases and worth the money.

What a beautiful bass. Literally a hour ago I configured a precision bass very similar to this.

A year has passed since I started this thread, and if anything I am even happier now than I was then. I really do appreciate the neck, in fact I am going to say: It is the best neck I have played so far, full stop. Of course, that is down to taste 100%, for me it is the smoothness of the finish that does it.
I haven't changed the strings yet, still got the original roundwounds on it. With the bass being very bright naturally, old rounds just work so well on it!

after the honeymoon period is up you really get to see the bass. Glad it excels.

yes I prefer a old set of rounds on a ash body maple neck. Rotosound swing66 are killer when they lose that zing.
I've heard ghs pressure wounds give you that broken in roundwound sound also.
