NBD: Carl Thompson content

I’ve been fascinated by Carl Thompson basses ever since getting turned onto Primus back in 1989. I’ve never even seen a Thompson in person, let alone played one.

Until today. Picked up this 1980 model just now:

Having spent a week with the bass, I see why some folks are obsessed with Carl Thompsons. The neck feels wonderful and the build quality is first-rate.

You really get the hand carved/hand finished vibe on this one. The condition looks to be excellent for an instrument of that age.
