Fedex just dropped on my new bass!
It is awesome! First of all, I bought it as "Mint" condition from ProAudioStar on Reverb. They had it at $699, I offered $600 and got it for that with free shipping. I was expecting a mint condition...figured it was probably a trade-in that wasn't used much. What I got was pretty much a brand-new bass for $600! Maybe it was customer return, or a store demo? I don't know if they have a brick-and-mortar store...either way, I pulled it out of the body to find the plastic still on the tuners and backplate, and original hangtags still on it!
I strung it with the La Bella Flat wounds that I got to try (they are AWESOME btw), and it needed a very minor truss rod tweak and a couple saddle height adjustments, and it is perfect!
I have right at 0.010" relief, and 4.5/64's action at the 17th. (I loosely go off of Fender's setup guide on their website)
It plays great and sounds really great too. I did adjust the preamp gain all the way down, as the pickups on their own are very punchy.
Playing through my THR10 into Guitar Rig 5 for now.
My Fender Rumble 100 just shipped from a GC in TN, so it'll probably be here end of week or early next week.
Excited to (re)start my bass journey!
