I've always wanted a Pedulla Buzz bass. I owned a Buzz six string a while back, but I'm just not a six string player. I most prefer fours, though I play a lot of five string.
Anyway, I was looking at the Bass Shop Seattle website a few days ago and saw a Buzz for a very low price (for a Buzz, at least). It's an older one, 1986 by the serial number, and a previous owner stripped the finish, including removing the logo, explaining the low price. They had also done something wonky to the electronics, but the store put a Bartolini NTMB in to replace it (not sure exactly which variant).
I went over and tried it out, and ended up walking out of there with it. Haven't decided if I'm going to refinish it with some gel stain, maybe put a skin on it, or just leave it as-is plus a few decals. Leaning toward the last, but we'll see.
It plays very well, and sings like you'd expect a Buzz to sing. I wish it was one of the gorgeous flamed maple ones, but it would have cost me another $1500-2000 if it had been, so I'm happy to be able to get a player like this for a price I could pretty much afford.
