NBD - Fender content

I pimped mine out cause it seems everyone's got one nowadays :smug:

Congrats on your new bass! Enjoy it!

But, but...
it's still green!
Would it have been more, if you had waited until it to be ripe?

Seriously, that's fine and the wife is a keeper, for sure.

Dave, I like the creamy goodness.
DiMarzio's?
Maybe a mint PG?

Those are most definitely DiMarzio's! I love the Model PJ's, they really made this bass sing.

A mint PG would probably look really cool too. I just liked the contrast that the black PG gives. Matches the neck inlays, makes the pickups pop, and actually enhances the green color. It looks really cool in person.

Have been playing this one at my local GC a lot lately. Fell completely in love with it, but didn't think it was feasible, as I just bought a Schecter Model T (which is what kicked off my love for the PJ platform) which I'm not bonding with quite as much as I'd hoped - the flatter neck radius is taking some getting used to. So, I was debating selling the Schecter, or something else, but didn't think I'd be able to snag this one while it was on sale. Mentioned it to Mrs Aahzz last night and she said "Doesn't Guitar Center offer 0% financing? Go ahead and get it and then use the money you're earning from Uber (just started driving for them) to pay it off quickly". Hallelujah - got there at opening this morning and brought her home - without further ado, my new Fender Precision Bass Special in Seafoam Pearl :)

Nice Dude! I've heard great things about that model!
I just wish they offered it in a few more finishes.
Enjoy your new bass!

Congrats! They are truly wonderful PJs. I've had mine for almost a year and play it every night. I paired mine with a Soldier- John Stirrat strap which I think compliments it perfectly. I prefer P bodies and J necks so it fills that bill. The P tone is great and the ability to mix in a bit of growel is fun. Enjoy it. It really could be your Number 1.

Love the color. Love the PU configuration. Tested 2 at GC but could not find love. Both were too heavy for my taste and both were poorly set up... Am still keeping an eye out for a good one.

This one's not a lightweight, but it's noticeably lighter than my Schecter Model T - the new one is a similar weight to my MIM Standard P. I was back in GC yesterday for some accessories and was chatting with the accessories sales guy, and he was telling me that most of their new Fenders were coming in with bad setups. The Standard P they had in stock seemed to confirm that - action a mile high. He also said that he had really liked the bass I bought, so had done a quick setup on it so he could play around with it in store - seems to be confirmable since it came well setup, I made a couple very minor tweaks to my preference, but it really needed nothing, I just can't help myself :).
