NBD Fender JMJ Mustang what's wrong?

Hi,

I got my Fender JMJ Mustang bass and it sounds great.
The 10th fret is buzzing and seems to be thicker and taller then the other frets.
Does your JMJ mustang have a different 10th fret too?
I am kind of disappointed at the moment. Its not the cosmetics but the buzzing :-(

I have had issues like this with high end Gibson guitars which agreed you shouldn't have but I have often got a local guy to tweak the action including the odd fret filing down to feel like it should play. As to the quality checking alot of it is rubbish. I just bought an American Performer Mustang and the srews holding the pickups were the wrong size and too small so the pickups were moving around !!! One size bigger screws fixed the problem. So much for it being checked over.
