NBD Fender Player II Modified Active Jazz

The blue sure does appear to have a bit of purple in the recipe, contrasting it with the more true blue pickguard makes it jump out. A non blue pickguard would probably tone down the perception.

Question for Modified ii owners, is the pearl guard that comes on some colors a white pearl or more of a parchment/aged pearl? Looks differently to me in various photos.

On the left the original pickguard, on the right the D'Andrea Vintage Pearl:

Although the white pearl pick guard is the same as the one I changed my Geddy Jazz to, I'm not drawn to the yellowy looking Vintage one. I do like the chrome knobs however on the Ultra series and the Player II Modified P Bass. Since my "Dusk" Modified looks just a bit to close to my MIJ Geddy Jazz. I got the part numbers from Fender for the chrome knobs, but nobody carries them, even Fender themselves! Looking at some from All Parts.

Nice grab.

I had one of these a few months ago and loved everything about it. The only issue with the one I had, was I couldn’t get the action below 7/16 on the E or G string at the 17th fret. Been hesitant to try again, but thinking about it since. How’s the action on yours?

If looking good, I might pull the trigger and try once again. I had the blue, which is really better looking than it come across as in any pics (typical with most Fender finishes, they always look better in person), but both the green and dusk look cool too.
The high mass bridges are kinda notorious for this. Shim the neck and they play great.
