Same as mine, I kept the original pickguard for the moment, but I will switch to a black one as soon as I will find some spare money under the bed
Just to speak, mine arrived with some quite flaws in terms of quality control (neck pickup was badly angled, sharp frets, loose volume-tone controls,ect..) does yours have same problems?

I’ve had both a Player and a Vintera and I don’t see a noticeable difference in the hardware quality. I do like the Vintera pickups a little better, but it’s not a huge difference. Don’t rain on the guy’s parade.

I wasn't raining on OP's parade. I just told then that they could've fixed the glossy neck very easily and could've bought the bass they really wanted. I know what it's like to feel remorse because I chose second best, especially if the decision was influenced by a non issue.

Players have cheaper tuners with a lower gear ratio, Alpha pots and no name jacks. Vinteras have more precise tuners, CTS pots and Switchcraft jacks. The necks and frets are also diferent but OP didn't mention having preferences for modern or vintage specs.

I took mine to a luthier and he just adjusted the rod a little. otherwise he said its just fine.

At the time I searched the forums for a difference between the two but didn't saw the details you mentioned here. I read that a few guys compared the two in hand and preferred the Player because of the neck radius and sound. I'm just starting to get into the bass world so my ears aren't well trained. Maybe in the future ill get an MIA bass, who knows

You chose right then. The right neck is everything! Congratulations on your excellent choice. I used to have a Player Precision and it was very good. Enjoy your journey into the bass world.
