NBD - Fender Seafoam P Deluxe

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by stantonl, Jul 30, 2012.

  1. :hyper:Saw this at Guitar Center today and could not pass it up. It's a MIM Metallic Seafoam Green P Bass Deluxe. Basically a P Deluxe Special with an upgraded bridge, bound maple neck with black blocks, plus the cool paint job. Active P pickups plus a Jazz bridge pickup on a P Bass body with a Jazz neck. Really a cool looking, great playing bass. These iphone photos don't do it justice.

  2. Wow, that's a stunning bass. I love the blocks with the seafoam green.

Excellent Bass! I picked one up two months ago and I can't put it down since. I've played about eight gigs and my sound man and band loves the friggen tone.

While the neck is the reason behind many suspicions on relocation at Ensenada's facilities of the Geddy Lee Jazz lines from Fender Japan...

    Many congrats buddy

Roger you're so cool with yours and you gotta sound special with that MarkBass head!

    Absolutely beautiful bass!
  11. I tried one of the in GC a few months ago. Great feeling IMO, felt very comfortable. Sounded just dandy, looks good and the fit & finish was up to par. very nice.

    Now I want one.

    Congrats - its beautiful
  13. Is that seafoam, or is it surf green? Wouldn't be a talkbass thread without some nitpicking!
  14. I think it's 'surf pearl' which is a metallic paint
  15. They should call it Sexy Pearl. I've got a soft spot for the classic colors.

Wow congrats. That's a very cool looking bass. Very nice!
  19. Thanks guys! I literally haven't been able to put her down since I bought her. I'm loving the variety of tones I can get out of her while playing with the band.

As for the color, when I bought her the hang tag called it "Pearlescent Seafoam Green"
  20. Keeper!!!
