I purchased this awesome bass from @Boz68 (who is excellent to do business with btw) , and received it a couple days ago.
Due to some family and work stuff, I've just managed yesterday to finish setting it up for my own preferences.
I replaced the Fender "Geddy Lee" Bridge with a Leo Quann Badass 2, installed some fresh D'Addario EXL170 nickel rounds, then fine tuned the intonation and neck relief to my preferred settings. Oh, and a set of Dunlop Straploks.
This bass is awesome! Simply the best playing and sounding Jazz bass I have ever played!
This is going to be a keeper!

That's great! Congratulations! My son has the made in Mexico Geddy model and a friend of mine has a MIJ and USA versions. We compared all three one night for sh!ts and giggles. Although they all played great, the neck on the USA was my favorite. It's like the Goldilocks neck of the three....just right. I know they call it s "thick C" but I find it to be very comfortable.

Direct perfect fit. And, the same exact footprint on the bass as the stock GL bridge.
A completely reversible mod.

This one came with multi-grooved saddles for perfect string spacing as well.
Be sure you get the pre grooved one if you aren't proficient with filing string grooves.

I agree. I owned a CIJ Geddy back in '99 or 2000. I couldn't get along with the wafer thin neck. Same reason I no longer own a Ric.
