NBD:Finally a Jazz with a beefy neck!

..and for only $69! I liked the Glarry P bass so much, I had to get the Jazz, especially because of the 1.7” nut width, beefy U shaped neck and it’s under 8 pounds! Things I have wanted in a Jazz Bass for years but could never find. Love the necks on these. No sharp fret edges, decent fret work, neck only needed a slight tweak and the pickups aren’t bad at all. Bridge and tuners are super cheap but this thing was only $69! The Duncan pickups I’m thinking about swapping in are twice the price of the whole bass I’ve spent more on strings, you get the point. I’m loving it.

I like the stock pickups but still thinking about dropping some Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz pickups in it. Ive always wanted some QP pickups in a bass. They cost almost twice what the entire bass did though

most of the folks who have purchased that/those axes have endorsed the light-but-solid qualities with the caveat that some hardware/electronic pieces might have to be changed out for personal preferences.

i think it's cool that modern technology (CNC) makes 'traditional profiling' easy enough to be cheap and competent enough to be playable, or even preferred!
