NBD: Finally found one! My EBMM 25th Anniversary / Reflex 5-string

After FedEx stressed me out like crazy over this shipping, it finally arrived, apparently unharmed, and beautiful. Thanks to @sb69coupe for contacting me via the EBMM forums WTB section and working a deal with me. I've been looking for years and years to find one of these, but the money and or availability never lined up. It finally did!

I may have two of the more rare EBMM basses. I love them both. The preamp is quite impressive, as is the build and the style. These necks suit me well.

Enjoy the pictures, I am ready to play this out once I can get out.

That's awesome. I had a reflex 5HSS several years back, and was amazed by the flexibility and tone. Mine was white, which was nice, but that flamed top/burst is out of this world. The preamp and switching is surprisingly intuitive, too.

Excellent score! (the Big Al too - still want one of those)

Strangely enough, the big Al is heavier and they both sit about the same on a strap. Looks wouldn't lead you to believe that. The big Al is still probably my #1 bass out of the 12-13 I own. It's just a great bass for me. I just need a low B a lot with the music I play, so I wanted to get something comparable.

The flame top is much nicer in person than pictures conveyed.

i just found out that the 25th anniversary was made on July 9th 2009, and the Big Al was made on September 8th, 2009. very close in time. the quality of both is outstanding. you know what they say about those '09 EBMM's......

update, i got to play it live today!

our church is able to meet with guidelines, which were followed. I got to play this today and it did not disappoint. sounded great in the mix, as expected. went from fat and dubby to "growly" (says my wife) with the pickup switching. the think I am surprised and amazed at, is how it perfectly balances on a strap with zero neck dive. it boggles the mind. my big al, peavey fury, fender starcaster, and both my tele builds ride a strap worse than this one! i don't see how. it's not really that heavy either. by all means, it makes no sense.
