Ordered a PB kit from Thomann a few weeks ago. Been working on this off and on over the last week.
I present Boba Fret, my attempt at a Boba Fett themed bass.
Plenty of sanding and spray painting for a battle worn finish. The finish is smooth to the touch and sealed in satin clear. Sanded it down to 3000 grit.
The neck was wrapped in wire and then torched to give it the faux flamed look. Then sanded to 3000 grit, tung oiled, and then made it extra smooth with some super fine steel wool.
I made the waterslide decals in photoshop.
Setup with 95-40 SIT powerwounds, action is low and plays great.
Stock pickup and electronics.
Swapped the stock chrome hardware for black hardware, after a failed aging attempt.
