I've been thinking about getting a fretless for a while now. At the start of this year, I decided it was finally time. So I've been saving for a couple of months, and today I bought...

...a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz Bass V. The clear finish with black block markers and binding. In mint condition. Not a fretless.

Just saw it, loved it, pulled the trigger. Now I have to start saving for a fretless again. God, I'm hopeless.

NBD post in a couple of days when I've had some time with it.

You can also save up for a fretless neck to swap out onto that body, be it AllParts, Mighty Mite, or Warmoth…
Cheaper than a whole 'nother bass.
