I wanted to get back to playing 5-string again but didn't want to spend much, so I turned to Ibanez. It's a GSR205SM. The main things I like are the thinish neck, nice string spacing for me, the light weight, and playability.

It sounds good when you just consider it a passive bass. I don't care for the bass boost, and I barely crack it if I use it at all. I figure four holes and a battery compartment should give me a good starting point for new electronics.

Eight out of ten stars from me because of what you get for the money. I paid $280 and they threw in a gig bag.

Hi people, what would you call $500 for a 2007 SR905 in mint condition? I found it online at the distributor's site and grabbed it. It is brand new in original box and in very good condition. Like out of a time capsule. I'll add pictures soon.
Might want to start a new thread. Even if you don't, I'd like to see it.
