As a resident of India, boutique brands cost A LOT with their shipping rates and the obscenely high customs prices. The Stockist is perhaps the country's only premium/boutique vendor that works with American/Canadian brands such as Suhr, Dingwall, Tokai, Sugi, among others. In April of 2024, I placed an order for a Suhr Classic J bass in cactus green with a tort pickguard and a black headstock. It took me almost 2 years to get my hands on it and I haven't really spent much time on time, but I quite like it. It definitely is a looker.
Since I placed the order, I am afraid to say my tastes have changed. I love my Elricks, Vigiers and Status with features such as easy truss rod adjustment where you don't really have to remove the neck. That said, for what it is worth, I don't think I could have asked for a better bass in the vintage style. I especially love the tone with tone at 0 (played through an EBS amplifier at the store). It's pretty lightweight as well, and as long as the neck doesn't move too much (it's roasted, so hopefully it won't), this one certainly seems like a keeper.
