NBD late 70's Hohner P bass.

I just picked up this absolutely amazing late 70's Hohner P bass clone at The House of Guitars in Rochester NY. (full disclosure I do work there, I stepped back and let customers have first crack, no takers) Beautifully built, it plays and sounds killer, I didn't need another FSO but the price was hard to beat and this thing gives my real Fenders a run for the money, easily one of the best sounding and playing Ps I own. Great condition for its age! My first bass was a Hohner P, but in sunburst with a rosewood board and chrome ashtrays. I traded it in for a Fender Tele bass after a couple of years. Wish I still had it! (Thanks, Dad!) Enjoy yours.

Overend Watts (RIP) made me want a Thunderbird bass, but I wasn’t quite tall enough to make it work for me.
Saw MTH play several times in Memphis in the 1970s.

Overend Watts, Entwistle and Martin Turner all made me pick Thunderbirds, been playing them since '76!

That's an ash body then?

It's really light in color I don't think is American ash, think it's Sen wood a relative of Japanese ash, the same used in the original Ibanez Destroyer Guitars a basses.
