NBD modded '78 Tele

I found this on gbase at Cowpalace Guitars in Nevada. A much modded '78 Tele in pretty nice shape. The work while a bit over kill is nicely done, everything including the kitchen sink LOL. I plan to put a Fender humbucker back in and a correct style pg. I couldn't help myself it need s a home. it should be here early next week.

Nice bass!


It seems to be missing something though... But you have still have enough room to put a Darkstar above the single coil and you might be able to squeeze in a MM pickup at the bridge. There's the luxury kitchen sink!

I would check out the tones from the existing pickups before making a decision on doing the mods you're contemplating. I'm betting there a lot of tones lurking in that bass!

It came with the Fender Humbucker, I'm putting one back in. I like those pups.

Wow, not to shabby there. Honestly it looks good and much more useable to me. While I usually don't like modded Fenders, I never got along with the mudbucker. Love the burst.
