Yes, black pickguard. Worked for Nate Mendel, and works on my American Special.
(Yeah I know it is CAR and not wine, but close enough)
Isn't Nate's red bass darker than CAR?

Did you just call me a dud? Lol!
Yeah, any tips or suggestions you have, I'd be glad to hear them!
DerekW... you can't have that P-bass sitting all alone though.. you need one of these to keep it company.
I just got this last week, same color. Black pickguard has been shipped and coming in a few days.
You guys are no help with GAS whatsoever.
If I needed to pick 2 basses to have, and only 2 - I would pick the P and the J. (In fact, I have 14 basses and am considering putting everything up on the block - I'm happy with keeping the 3 Fenders - the P, Jazz and a JP-90.) I wish my P was that Midnight Wine color though.
The pickup upgrade will make your P-bass sound so sweet! It seems like you've got all the bases covered (no pun intended) in making for an awesome bass.
For sale:
One extremely rare MIM pickguard. Mint condition, a real closet queen.
This colour has rarely been seen and came straight from the Fender Custom Shop.
It was called "White".. Very exotic sounding, no? I think it's French.
If I'm correct, there was only something like 3.7 million of these made. And I can't verify, but I'm told this one was owned by John, from Iowa. You may have heard of him. He played in that band and drove a car and wore jeans.
Asking $275 shipped, or trade for a Midnight Wine Jazz Base with a BLACK pickguard.
