NBD - My Tele's Twin

Just picked up my new bass from layaway at GC. Fender American Professional II Precision, Olympic White with tortoiseshell pickguard and rosewood fingerboard. One of the most handsome color combos, IMHO.

This is the twin to my American Professional II Telecaster. Both are very well balanced and nicely crafted instruments. I've been rather impressed with the APII line.

Here are the siblings behaving themselves long enough for a family photo.

I notice how both instruments are Olympic White but there is a distinct variation in color. The Tele is noticeably whiter. Both are Alder bodies. It's not a bad thing nor is it unexpected, I just find it interesting.
