NBD: Nash JB63

He also had supply chain issues (I wanted stack knobs and couldn’t get them) and I think just a really long wait list. From start to finish, how long would it take to build that bass - 10 days maybe, with paint drying and what not?

Mine came with a kelling solderless harness installed. It has a coil tap option on one of the volume knobs and with the tone knob pulled up it’s a mid control. Super cool, and sounds great!

it came with flats too, but I put rounds back on it and it rips!

Nash charges $210 more for "Extra Light" or "Extra Heavy" relic jobs.

light, medium or heavy is included in the base price.

NASH CUSTOM BASS BUILD CONFIGURATOR

Interesting. Maybe they have to alter their workflow or use different tools that end up requiring more work/hassle.

I have a relic bass that was already 30 years old when they refinished it. No idea which dings are original and which artificial but it sure looks like a lot of work to get that level of detail.

Congrats Dave! Sherwood green is such a great color. Never played a Nash but I know people love them. I'll be interested to see how much play this one gets vs. the Reverend -- it's nice to have options. :D
This bass, being new, is gonna get the gigs and most practices. But I’m in three bands right now so there’s plenty of room for two basses. And three rigs!

I waited 14 months but it was worth it. Sherwood Green Metallic, Lollars, 9 pounds. I’m gonna put flats on it soon. Not much else to say, it’s awesome!

NICE!!! I've played several Nash basses over the years and they've all been stellar. It's really too bad (from my perspective, anyway) that they only make relic'd basses. I don't care either way about the look ... I just like my necks to be as smooth as a baby's you-know-what.
