For a custom shop I feel a matching head stock should be an available option
Exactly. Absolutely no reason not to have it.
I’ve heard so many people here tell us why Fender doesn’t offer matching headstocks on their regular line, but I haven’t heard anyone explain why we can’t get it from the custom shop.
Hey, maybe Fender’s like the Chinese restaurant down the road from me...place has a number of dishes not on the menu, you have to know about them in order to ask for them.

Or you have to go full on master build. Which is also doodoo. Why you can't have bound blocked necks as a regular option is also beyond me. Has kept me from doing a custom shop for years. Sorry to derail your thread OP! I

BTW, to the OP, what does it sound like? Stingray-ish?

It sounds very like a Stingray, but the kids aren’t so scooped. I need to work on getting the action low and intonated. I’ve decided it’s not exactly my sound, my T-Bird gets me exactly what I want, but I have a couple pickups and some ideas to try.
