20190704_150914.jpg 20190704_150941.jpg Just scored one heck of a LetGo find!
1996 Peavey Fury, P-style bass, made in USA. Picked it up for 125 bucks.
This bass was still like brand new, and still had the film on the pickguard!
Came with a nice, very well-made Peavey gig bag. Hardly a mark on this bass anywhere.
Seller's late mother had bought this bass brand new, to try her hand at playing bass, as she played other instruments. Apparently, she never used it much, and it sat in the bag.

$125 is a great deal for any decent US Peavey, but this thing is practically N.O.S. I'm just blown away with this deal.
I , kind of reluctantly, went on and removed the pickguard film (was stuck pretty good after 23 years lol), and removed the, almost certainly, original strings. On went some fresh Ernie Ball strings, and a little adjustment and tweaking, and this is an amazing bass!

Oh great, another place to shop for basses....

Congrats on the found treasure. Play it in good health!

Yeah, this is the first thing I've ever bought on LetGo. I just happened to spot the listing while kind of mindlessly scrolling through.. Lol. I actually thought it was an import Peavey at first, which would have been okay, but I was pretty pleasantly surprised to find out it was MIA.
I've owned a couple of US Foundations, and a Patriot, but not a Fury.
I'm hooked! I wanna hit some listings, and find another couple of these!
Think I'll be hard pressed to find another this nice, for this cheap, though.

My first bass - which I still have - was a Dyna ca 1984. I love old Peaveys and your looks to be in really good shape!

So of course I had to go look at LetGo after reading about your score. Not a ton interesting bass-related in my area yesterday but if I was looking for guitars I would have been a kid in a candy store! Definitely a channel to watch. Thanks for the tip!
