NBD - Rogue VB-100 Violin Bass

I honestly didn't expect much when I found this Rogue Violin bass on sale as a blemished item on eBay. It arrived yesterday and immediately I was impressed with how it feels, how it plays and how it sounds. It honestly feels like an instrument costing 3 times as much as it does. There are some light marks on the neck binding which is why it was listed as a blemished item. I set it up today and put some LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass flatwounds specifically made for the Hofner Beatle Bass. It's really fun to play!

Congrats! Years ago I got that bug and got a Turser when they came out in black.
You know they're all coming out of the same place. To echo you, I was totally impressed with it all, including the lifetime warranty on the neck! (Did you get one?) It cops the tone close enough! These things are great for what they ate. Rock it!

The main difference between these and the “real thing” is the neck-body join. The ‘real’ one has a far different joint that would, hypothetically, allow the top a different resonance that would make the cheap clones sound different. But because the pickups, pickup rings, and sound controls are all mounted into the top, it’s a non-factor.
