NBD S.U.B. RAY 4

Well the big brown truck came today.\Delivered my new Sterling By Musicman S.U.B. RAY 4.
Only had a little chance to play it so far but as others have said, fit and finish is fantastic to me.
The action is nice and low, tuned and intonated spot on, no buzzing at all.
Volume pot mod will have to be performed.
The strings are okay for now, EB's coming wednesday.
Gotta say this bass plays extremely nice for me, real easy, and GREAT Tone and thump!
I kinda liken it to my T40 from many years gone by.
Quality right up there with it.
More later as I get more intimate with it.

Plastic still on the PG.

Thanx guys,
It's a beautiful bass without a doubt.
The Walnut stain is satin.
GREAT wood grain on this one, not a thing at all wrong with it.
Im amazed that all I had to do was tune it slightly and remove the shipping plastic off the pup.
Really POUNDS through my nitrobass/ 412 TVX half stack!
DW, I was looking at the same Black with maple board but GC wont have em for a while.
This one would look FANTASTIC with a maple fingerboard.
My P and Jazz basses both have maple fingerboards and thats what I highly prefer.
Maybe sometime down the road SBMM may offer replacement necks so I can make that a reality!!!

Awesome bass!! I love the look MM style have really grown on me lately.

I think this will be my next bass (same colour too!), I've got the vintage sound covered with several basses but I don't have anything really good for slap or a more modern sound, these look like a great value.

How is the stock p-up?

If anyone's thinking of moding the pups & electronics, you might try EMG.That whole thing about G string dropout and your fingers being the ground are all eliminated using EMG's.There's no bridge ground wire 'cause there's no noise at all.I put EMG's in every bass I own.(9) I really can't stand that awfull feedback, hum, static noise crap.Just FYI!
