Hi, my name is Jeff. I’m a recovering bassaholic. I’ve been clean for 3 days.

or maybe…

Forgive me Father for I have sinned. It has been 3 days since…

Okay, you get the picture. I’m feeling a tinge of guilt for 2 NBDs in the same week (to be fair, I sold 2 this week). I had been doing really well with my bass contentment until this bass opened Pandora’s box for me. I’ve been looking at these for years and the right one finally came around.

It’s a Sadowsky NYC Satin 4 string jazz bass. It’s SUPER lightweight… 7.2lb! Classic Sadowsky feel and tone. Chambered ash w/ maple neck. Great fretwork/action. And the Olympic White satin finish is really cool. Bought it right here on TB (although I think I pestered the daylights out of the seller all last weekend… lol. Sorry dude!)

I’ve owned other NYC Sadowskys. This one is probably the most basic of them all. But it sure plays/feels/looks nice. It’s one of my favorite color combinations. And while I have a love/hate relationship with the Sadowsky preamp, I definitely love it on this bass.

It’s literally the exact opposite of the ‘58 Custom Shop P I just got. I dig having them side-by-side on my rack.
