NBD - Spector USA Custom NS-2

Picked up this beautiful 2023 Spector USA NS-2 today. Curly Rosewood top, Matched headstock, Ebony fretboard, MOP 12th fret inlay, MOP headstock inlay, Aguilar DCB3 pickups, Aguilar OPB-3 Preamp, and weighs in at just over 8lbs.

I’ve wanted a USA Spector for a long while, but the high prices kept me at bay. I had to sell off a ton of gear to make this happen, and this is by far, the most I’ve ever spent on one bass, but it is absolutely gorgeous. The Aguilar pickups give it a very natural sound, but the preamp allows for that Spector growl too.

I’ve never played an USA Spector but the 3 Czech ones I had a whirl on were all superb instruments

Curly rosewood! Looks like a mix between figured koa and walnut...very nice.
