Huge shout out to Andertons, for £3.99 they delivered to Ireland in 2 days.

For the price of £234 I am completely floored by the quality you can get from certain companies who use Asian factories.

I can't find anything in the workmanship to bitch about.

Out of the box it was almost in tune and as far as I can tell as a guitarist the setup is fine, certainly playable, no obvious high frets etc

In term of build quality and tone, this entry lever sire just smoke the Fender Player jazz bass. It roller edge fretboard are awsome, you can get same roller edge fretboard on Fender Am Pro but 5 time expensive.

Sires are set up to go either way, yes.

What are - if any - the advantages of a string-thru set-up in your opinion? In a Telecaster (I've both a TL and a ST) the tighter break angle of the strings on the saddles makes the string-thru a better option. But, in a bass? Do the strings make the body vibrate more?

If I ever have to option to top load strings, I always go for it simply because I don’t believe in the benefits of through body stringing and have never noticed anything different about it.

I haven't noticed any tone differences top load Vs through body but I really like changing strings with the through the body . Way easier for me and no chance to scratch the finish behind the bridge .
