Back in October I saw this post for a Warmoth Jazz Bass body for $10:

SOLD - Warmoth Korina/Limba jazz bass body only

I almost didn't post my reply saying to contact me if the deal falls through, because I thought there was no way that would happen. I was floored when @Lex P. sent me a PM to tell me the deal did indeed fall through. Big thanks to him for such a great deal.

Warmoth neck is unfinished roasted maple with an ebony fretboard, vintage small stainless frets, graphite rods and moonglow sidedots.

Schaller tuners and stap locks.

Gotoh bridge.

Pickups were wound by a friend.

This bass plays and sounds fantastic.

Lex stated that he didn't want the body to go to someone who was going to flip it. Mission accomplished. 9.4 lbs of NOT FOR SALE

That's a real beauty with the natural finish! And what a deal!!! Very nicely done.

Back in the early stages of Warmoth they had a very rudimentary website with a section called Thrift Shop. Sparse - some extra bodies/necks, orders not picked up, that kind of thing.
This was a forgotten order making it fairly inexpensive - black korina P body with a nice quilt top and one of the nicest blueburst finishes I've seen. I never heard of korina, and it was nice to find out it sounds great!! With a Warmoth all bird's eye maple neck. Tone is tight and solid. One of my favorites.

I'd like to see it. I'm generally a fan of natural finish, but blueburst is often to my liking. Can you post a pic, or link to a NBD thread you may have posted?

It was labeled as a Warmoth partscaster p bass. It has all Hipshot hardware and I don't know what kind of pickups. If it was all ordered from Warmoth together then they might be Fralins. I will check it all out when I receive it next week. I had to guess what it was made of. I'm pretty certain that's Black Limba or Korina. I would guess that the neck is Bubinga with a Canary Wood fretboard judging by the difference in color.

Was there a pic that shows the headstock?
