That was me too. Regardless of the iconic nature of them I have never been a fan of the "Beatle bass" look or feel. I snagged my first Hofner when I first saw this Ignition series a few years ago.

That was me too. Regardless of the iconic nature of them I have never been a fan of the "Beatle bass" look or feel. I snagged my first Hofner when I first saw this Ignition series a few years ago.
I didn't think so, not all that was in there is in the photo. It was wrapped in that foam material and packed pretty tight in the interior box.
Per the description it says "hollowbody", not sure if that means there's a center block or not.
Well, based on this thread I was told to wait 48 hours before opening the delivery confirmation so you're probably looking at 96 hours for a gig bag!

Ha, you should be safe at 96 hours.
Any less than that and the canvas fibers will separate.... Definitely wait at least 96 hours.
Sweet!First let me say, the responses regarding the anticipation of what was delivered to my house were pretty hilarious.
Anyway, my son and his fiance closed on their new house yesterday so there was some work I had to do to help and only had time to open the box and snap a couple photos.
I had one of these but I hated the "turd-burst" brown finish. Sold that one and spoiled myself by getting a color I wanted now that they're available. It may not be for everyone but I like bright colors, hint, see my Musicmaster in my avatar.
Hanging with the family, red lights give it a decidedly "less blue" shade.
Now that there's photos, it happened.

So here I am, after having two nights to play around with the new blue bass.
It's gone, decided to get it back to Musicians Friend within the free return policy period.
The color was the best part about it. I don't know how else to describe it other than it felt cheap. The love for a new toy wore of very quickly. If you have one and like it, more power to ya. I'll stick with my Musicmaster and Gretsch.
