After seeing that I'm going to the studio and play mine. That color combo and overall look is stunning! Probably the best I've seen. Play it in good health, it gets no better. Good find.

I did install (eek!) flatwounds yesterday.

The sound of this particular Bongo is so Stingray like, I think I can get that oldschool Stingray-With-Flats funk tone out of it with ease.

The strings I used are these:

....and the color really sits well on that bass. It's subtle and you might actually
wonder if it's a trick of the light, but now every visible metal part on this bass golden.
 
Why would you describe your new bass in full-on Midas mode and then attach a picture of the strings instead of one of the Goldmember bass? Come on!

You are, of course, very correct.

This morning up until I left the house, we had rain and the clouds were pretty dark - I wanted to snap a pic, but there was no light to work with.

I will go ahead and supply evidence of the whole thing as soon as I get home.
