NBD!

2011 MIA Fender P5, 60th Anniversary

Picked this up from a TBer in the classifieds. I'm sure some of you have seen it there. I ran home at lunch and hunted down the mail man to get it. I knew he would be gone by the time I got off work and it was signature delivery.

Plays great! B-string is surprisingly present for a passive. I did adjust the top pup on the top side out a bit to get some more B string. Sounds great. Plays great. Looks great. Super stoked to have it.

Thank you gentlemen. nismaniac, I just said the same thing on your NBD post! Strange TB twilight zone phenomina there.

I had a P bass as my first bass back in the mid 90's. I don't remember what it was, but I know this is my first Fender. I'm pleasantly surprised with it and glad I decided to jump on it. I owe talkbass for talking me into a Fender P! Next up, flatwounds for it. Hahahaha!

That's sharp! In December I bought an American Standard 5 string Jazz bass. (LOVE IT!!). But one thing I noticed in the music stores was that I never once saw a bass like yours. And I was looking off and on at various stores since last summer. I knew I wanted the Jazz, but thought it would would cool to try a 5 string P to compare. Nothing.

I've still yet to actually see one.

Glad you're happy with yours!
