While this is not a NEW cab, it is a bucket list cab and matches my Genz Benz STM600 perfectly!
My body is not thrilled to be in my 50s and still schlepping heavy gear, and I have been struggling with tennis elbow for the last few weeks. I have been hauling my two Aguilar GS-112s to gigs, and really feel satisfied with the 2x12 setup for my sound and the venues I am playing.
The challenges I have had with the dual GS-112 is the weight - these are not Neo cabs, at 42 lbs each. They are bulky and don't stack well on my dolly. Since I always use both speakers, I thought a single 2x12 would be easier to move around, and of course I wanted neo speakers
The NeoX-212 is spec'd at 62 lbs, and it seems very manageable.
I was looking into a new Genzler, Mesa or Aguilar 2x12, and was trying to figure out how to budget or what to sell to help make it happen. I figured I could swing it by Summer. And then - this showed up in my Google feed for $549 from GC, which got my attention. Looking more closely, my local GC also had the same model, same condition, for the (more typical ime) price of $749. I figured if they would price match, I would take it home.
I went down and spent a couple of hours demo'ing it with every bass they had in stock. TBH I ordered my last bass from GC online and that was a positive transaction - but I haven't been to GC in years. They had a great selection of basses - most impressive was an F Bass 5 string Fretless they have for $4499. Holy cow I see what people are saying - that bass felt unlike anything I have ever played! I might have to really start saving now!
The strange thing were their Fender basses. Like I have read on here, every single Fender bass I played - from a $400 Squier to $1600 and $2200 Americans, all had ski ramp necks. Every single one was nearly unplayable and would have benefitted from a 5 minute truss rod adjustment. I guess this just isn't done? Seems like it would help sell instruments, if they played well.
So yea I got them to price match the $549, and I walked out with a new cab to match my admittedly aging (and rock solid) rig. I do hope to upgrade my whole rig in the next year or so, as my professional reimbursements have been growing, and I do want to support our amp and cab building community when I can! But, I might need an F bass
My Cure tribute band KM3 is headlining a Valentine's Day show tomorrow, and I will see how this does at the gig! I anticipate it will be more enjoyable getting it there!

it is 2 ohms capable. It played with many boxes. It had a parts transplant, fell from 2 meters high, has new valve - still kicking strong every day. I decided to get him a friend he deserved. It arrived yesterday. It's an amazing setup, such a punchy sound, why haven't I thought of this before..
