Ne1 have problems with their fingers on MM pickups?

I have a made in California TBC, kind of a quilted maple top dual PU 'Ray coppy, although it was made way before MM came out with the dual models.

Any way, no problems with the magnet edges, but I'm always bashing my index finger into the neck PU when I slap.

Part of the problem may be with how you set it up.

Try lowering the E/A side of the pickup, instead of raising the D/G side.

A lot of people overlook the fact that the pickup can be lowered as well as raised, for a surprisingly similar result.

This would seem the obvious answer, but i like having the E/A side up a good bit so i have somewhere for my thumb to sit!!
