I've just recently started having a problem with the neck pickup on my Fender American Vintage '62 Jazz Reissue, and I hope somebody can help me figure out what it is.
Every now and then, when I plug my bass in, I find that the neck pickup is completely dead... now for the strange part: if I move its tone control (remember this model has stacked concentric knobs with a volume and tone for each pickup!) all the way to the right, the pickup "magically" turns back on, and is fully functional again.
It doesn't happen every time I play it, but it has on a fairly regular basis since it started happening about a month ago.
Any ideas?
