I have a RH CS PJ5, and I am looking at picking up a RBV, and I wonder if anyone has played both?

I have been searching TB and read things like "Fender use the same basic Neck profile for all their 5 string basses" and "The Roscoe Beck V neck is like a baseball bat" Obviously these are conflicting statements.

Can anyone who has experience with both basses compare them?
