The notes are simple, but the timing gave me some trouble at first and gave me a good thing to work on. Plus you get to play the really fun and easy bass solos in the middle.

Guys thanks so much for the replies, TB comes through again. I'm gonna print this off and stick it in my lesson notebook for future reference..... Think I'm going to go with the avg. white band to start and who knows after that

Study James Brown. Simple stuff, but full of groove. The Herbie Hancock song is really cool, but the most recognizable part is actually keybass. The bass is playing a counter melody, almost like a guitar part.
