Need a lightweight, low priced combo

I love the ampeg sound, but I’ve read enough reliability/quality complaints about the BA line to steer me away. And yes, they do run heavier.

That’s the thing, if it were paying gigs I wouldn’t worry about weight so much. But the idea here is to make me more likely to go sit in at places, jam with friends, etc and anything that’s hard to carry with one hand will deter me from that.

The new BAs are only 10lbs or so heavier than the Rumbles, but I lifted them and they also feel more clumsy to carry with one hand. I’m not as worried about quality issues with Ampeg, maybe I haven’t researched enough....

I tried a GK MB 112 ii, and was highly impressed. I had a hard time getting a super warm smooth tone I could use for my bluegrass/country band, but it had some real girth and grit I’d use as my rock amp. Itching to try the 210! Worth a drive to check em out, IMO

I looked at the GK website, they have two listed dealers in my state and I know one of them doesn’t carry anything, will call the other but not very hopeful.

This is the best small combo amp that I've ever owned. With FOH support this 13 pound behemoth is pretty amazing.
