Need a new affordable head! >.<

Im upgrading from my old gear and i recently got my hands on a Ampeg SVT 4x10 Cab and it sounds great but now im looking for a head and am unsure wat to go for.

Im looking for something that can help put out a great rock and/or metal sound for no more than $250 - $300

any ideas??

I used a Hartke HA3500 for 2 or 3 years and I was satisfied until I started roaming these forums. I primarily used it for metal/heavy rock stuff. Never failed on me despite loose knobs, input and output.

ill second the hartike they are cheap and have an ampeg like tone... im using the hartike ha2500 through an ampeg 1x15 en cab. sounds great for just about any style of music

Old Peavey's are also a possibility then.

Get a hartke LH500 , its 500 watt as 4 ohm , has a tube pre amp and i think would sound excellent through ur cab, and they are cheap ! There is a number of threads on TB , just do a search.

Yea, im seriously considering going with hartke. Im borrowing a Hartke HA5500 and it sounds perfect through my cab lol, it has perfect low heavy punch xD

Peavey Mark (something) or tour if you want solid sound

Peavey Megabass or GK RB if you want hifi.
