Disney: The Mandalorian (if you like Star Wars)
Hulu: Baskets, Fargo, The Americans, Killing Eve, Ramy, Atlanta, Damages
HBO Max: Succession, The Last Of Us, The White Lotus, Hacks, True Detective, Barry, and a ton of great documentaries

Again, recommendations are difficult unless we know what kind of shows you're into. My tastes don't necessarily reflect the tastes of others.

First season of Westworld is great. I lost interest after that.

The Americans is excellent start to finish.

Hell On Wheels except the last season.

If you have even a passing interest in Star Trek, you might like The Orville, although you might want to read a synopsis of seasons 1 and 2 and go straight to season 3. The Orville is better Star Trek than most of the current real Star Treks.

"Bones" - Forensic science drama/light comedy. 2005 - 2017. Rich characters that you really care about. Smart writing. The two main costars have fantastic chemistry together.

"Orphan Black" - Science Fiction thriller with a theme of exploring deep issues like free will, ethical responsibility, the nature of right and wrong, and how much of human behavior is genetic and how much is environment.

50 episodes from '13 - '17,

The show stars Tatiana Maslasi, who plays all of the several clones that are the principal characters. Watching her so skillfully perform each of these roles is a pleasure.

A warning: This series is often criticized of being bogged down by exceedingly complex plot lines that are difficult to follow, particularly in the later episodes.

"The Adventures of Brisco County Jr" - Bruce Campbell stars in this weird Western/steampunk humor adventure series from '93 - '94. While possessing a dedicated fan base and being praised by critics, it never performed well commercially and was cancelled after its first season of only 27 episodes.

The fact that there's only 27 episodes, plus the lighthearted and fun nature of the show, makes this a good choice if you don't want to invest a lot of time and mental effort in a new series.

I was a young man in college at the time and my school buddies and I would get together every Friday night at 8pm and watch The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.

Of course we'd drink while watching it and then go out to party afterwards, but that show served as the kick off for our weekends in the season when it aired.

I'm a huge fan of Aaron Sorkin's work, so as long as you can suspend disbelief and enjoy a fictional world in which every single character is preternaturally intelligent/well-read and quick with witty, hyper-articulate proclamations, it makes for inspiring, engaging, and provocative television:
- The West Wing
- Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip
- The Newsroom

How about a family friendly murder mystery show called Murdoch Mysteries. Its a 1 hour show, made in Canada, set in Toronto just after the turn of the 20th century around 1910. The show has been on for 15 seasons. Easy to watch, nothing too heavy, and sometimes they have figures from history who "show up" from time to time, like Edison, Tesla, H.G. Wells. It's funny to see a doctor or coroner doing surgery without a mask or gloves. Historically accurate since they didn't have those things back then.

One of the best shows in years. Love it.

I'd put up "Lillyhammer" for campy gangster vibe. Little Steven Van Zandt. Some of the cast of "Norsemen" keep cropping up in it (and if you haven't seen "Norsemen" it's funny as H.E. double hockey-sticks).

Widely recognized as one of the funniest sitcoms of all time, "Fawlty Towers" was created and written in the mid 70s by John Cleese of Monty Python fame for the BBC.

It was a limited series of only 12 episodes of 30 - 35 minutes each.

The show is a "must see" for anyone who values TV comedy, especially that based on British style humor.
