Need Advice: Ibanez SR-305 DX neck problems

The refret job turned out great. They did a beautiful job. However, I have to post this follow up for anyone who is tracking this.

So I went to pick up, and the buzzing was exactly the same-- when I played it. So the luthier thought, let's check the saddle, did a little making sure the saddle was good. Still buzzy. So he felt the string and said, let's swap out this string. And BOOM, fixed.

OK, so this was all caused by a defective string. BUT, I'm not mad. My frets were way worn out, it needed to get done, and now my amazing bass is good for another 20 years!! (I play with flats now, so my frets should last a good long time).

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. We can add "check the saddle slot" and "check/replace the string" to the list of troubleshooting bits.
