After playing for many years without any effects, I've just bought a dbx 160a compressor and am hoping you guys will share some of your experiences with me. I'll be playing a '66 Jazz through an SVT-3 amp and Ampeg 4x10 cabinet and I want to achieve a "fatter" tone........if I can get other benefits from the compressor that will be a plus.
Please let me know the different settings and results you have acheived and any other info too.
