Need advice !

I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if this question has been covered before. I've been playing guitar on and off for many years, and I've got the urge to learn bass. I'm looking at an Ibanez TMB 100 as a starting point. The reviews on it seem very positive. Does anyone have any thoughts on this ? I'm open to suggestions. I am on a tight budget however, so an American Jazz bass is not an option ! (Sadly)

I started switching off on bass in the band I was in around 2009 after 20 or so years playing lead guitar. And when I decided to buy my own and start playing it regularly the best advice I got was to try the Ibanez SRs. They were an easy transition from guitar due to weight, neck, etc.
