Need another cab!!!

I'm going to be writing/rehearsing/recording with some friends in the near future. I'll be using everything in my main rig (see profile) except the Aggie cabs. I would use them, but it's more hauling than I care to do in this situation.

Some info: The band is a 5 piece (vox, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drums, me) and the vocalist might play a little guitar. So possibly 3 guitarists. Everyone is good/respectful on levels, so I'm not worried about it being a volume war. I'll be playing passive basses (4&5 string), using overdrive/distortion/fuzz and other effects. Ideally, I'd like something that has similar tone to a DB410, but lighter. I'm not expecting exactly the same, but something in the ballpark. Smaller wouldn't hurt either since it has to fit into a Corolla.

What are some options for affordable lightweight cabs nowadays? New or used works, looking to spend $500 or less. I'm most interested in: 2/3 way cabs, super light 4x10 sized cabs, or maybe a two 1x12 stack. Not really interested in: Acoustic, Hartke, Peavey, Carvin, GK. I've had or played through those brands and they're not my thing. Also, while building a Fearful/Greenboy cab interests me, I know it's not gonna happen.

Presumably you are after a hard rock sound which would be fine with an svt rig? Then no fundamental tones are required.

Check out Kringle's 2x12 diy sealed and ported builds with youtube demos, piss easy building, no crossovers, no tweeters to flip out over fuzz effects, easy to mic.

I don't recall if he tuned for 4 or 5 strings but you could easily retune using the same drivers and sacrifice loud for a bit lower without the box size getting out of control. Use 1/2" ply with bracing, twin 1x12 and you could carry one in each hand.

A used TC interests me, because of its shape. I need to keep it under $500 though. More than likely, I'll buy second-hand. I appreciate the suggestions on building a cab, but I simply don't have time to do that folks.

I know there's somebody out there making Fearful/Greenboy type cabs... any suggestions on used ones to check out?

If you think you'd like the sound of an Eden D410XLT but at the size of a 112 and 42 lbs with quick delivery Xsonics has a Demo 212CF. It's not exactly the sound of the XLT line but it was modeled on it and gets close. I haven't missed my 410 since I got mine, and love moving it at the end of the night. I use an FDeck HPF with it set as low as it can go and pump a whole lotta power into it (Markbass LM Tube 800) and it just rocks.
