Need help chosing bass cab for Hartke 3500 head

I just recently purchased a Hartke HA3500 Bass amp head.

its rated at 4ohms/350 watts and has eq sliders ranging from 30 hz to 8khz.

The cab that I'm considering is a 4x10 seismic audio cab with 800rms and 1600 watts peak power with an impedence of 8 ohms.

the frequency response is 40hz to 5kz.

I'm trying to learn about how these various specs work together and will affect the overall sound.

Question 1: plugging a 4ohm/350 watt head into an 8ohm/800 watt cab, what kind of results will that yield mathematically?

Question2: As far as my slider eq. will I be able to use the 30hz slider and the 8kz slider on speakers rated for 40hz-5kz?
Are frequency ratings dynamic. in other words do they increase of decrease depending on volume settings?

i.e. speaker volume at 6 =40hz-5kz
speaker volume at 3 = 30hz-5kz

Question3: will the B string on my 5 string bass not reach its full potential because of the rating limit on the speakers?


I would appreciate any educated responses. And I apologize if this forum is not in the right categories. Its the most appropriate one that I could find.

it's all less precise than you think.

probably the only hard rules i can think of pertain to wattage and impedance: if the amp puts out 350 watts at 4Ω, it'll put out less at 8Ω. since the cab is rated for more watts than the amp puts out, it shouldn't blow up with normal usage.

the rest is just a matter of "how does it sound?", and i mean sound, as in numbers won't tell you anything, you have to hear it and decide if you like it.
