Need help deciding on a Fender

I thought the same thing about the Jag and had to try one. With the MIJ, it sounds like a jazz bass but sounds like a P when you hit the series/parallel switch. The MIA sounds like a P. Flip the switch and it sounds like a boosted P. Not much difference tone wise.




That looks really cool. Best of both words too - great looking P body and nice jazz neck. Report back after you've had some time to spend with it. I'm curious what you think.

Yes I agree on the looks and jazz neck! I will report back, should be here in a few days. Good to know about the Jaguar in case I ever want to go that route, sounds like the MIJ's might be the way to go (or at least I'll need to scare up both models and try them)
